Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara (800 M) [7-8hrs] by Tourist Bus

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul (1050 M)[1-2hrs] and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1575 M) [3-4hrs]

Day 5: Trek to Ghorepani (2860 M) [7hrs]

Day 6: Early morning hike to Poonhill (3210 M) Sunrise view and back to Ghorepani and Trek to Tadapani (2640 M) [4-5hrs]

Day 7: Trek to Chommorong (2170 M) [5-6hrs]

Day 8: Trek to Dovan (2520 M) [5-6hrs]

Day 9: Trek to Deurali (3200 M) [4-5hrs]

Day 10: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4120 M) [4hrs]

Day 11: Trek back to Bamboo (2325 M) [5-6hrs]

Day 12: Trek to Jhinu Hot Spring (1780 M) [5-6hrs]

Day 13: Trek to Pothana (1890 M) [5-6hrs]

Day 14: Trek to Dhampus Phedi (1030 M) and Drive to Pokhara (820 M) [2-3hrs]

Itinerary Details

Day 1Arrive at Kathmandu

You will be picked up by a representative of Himalayan Sewa Expedition and Trekking and transferred to the Kathmandu Eco Hotel by our private tourist vehicle. You have the free evening and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Pre-trip meeting and sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley

After breakfast, we will organize a pre-departure meeting for providing the detail information about your tour and treks by our Guide. During our meeting clear all the remaining dues if any, bring 3 copies of passport size photos, copy of your passport and travel insurance policy. Please feel free to ask any queries with our guide related to your trekking regions. After meeting, our excellent tour guide will take you for Kathmandu valley sightseeing in private tourist vehicle. During the tour, you will visit the major historical, cultural and religious center of Kathmandu valley including Swyambhunath Stupa(The Monkey Temple), Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Our tour guide will explain to you about the cultural, historical and religious importance of these places in brief during the tour. You will be transferred to hotel after your tour. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3:  Drive to Pokhara (800 M) [7-8hrs] by Tourist Bus

At 6:30 am, our trekking staffs will pick up you at the hotel and escort to the bus station. The bus to Pokhara leaves at around 7:30 am. You will drive by the beautiful rivers Trisuli and Marsyangdi which is very popular for rafting as well. Pokhara is very popular for the panoramic view of the majestic Himalayas such as Annapurna, Machapuchare(Fishtail) in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. After 7 hours of drive, you will arrive at Pokhara, a beautiful city of lakes, caves Buddhist and Hindus temples. You can enjoy your evening wandering on lakesides. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul (1050 M)[1-2hrs] and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1575 M) [3-4hrs]

Our trek starts at Nayapul after an hour drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,015m) a large village with many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495m and after a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,575m. Today’s walk is relatively short and easy, a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region. Overnight at a guesthouse in Tikhedhunga.

Day 5:  Trek to Ghorepani (2860 M) [7hrs]

Today, we ascend steeply for the first 2 hours and then ascend gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti. This route gives us breathtaking views of Machhapuchhare(Fishtail 6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and the Annapurna South (7219m) while ascending on the way. Our trail now gets quite easy going as we pass through rhododendron and shadowy forests amidst the cackling of birds which gives us good feelings till we ascend gently up to the final camp. Overnight at Guesthouse in Ghorepani.

Day 6: Early morning hike to Poonhill (3210 M) Sunrise view and back to Ghorepani and Trek to Tadapani (2640 M) [4-5hrs]

The iconic place of Annapurna Region known as Poon Hill (Poon is a different community by Magar Ethnic group) is going to be conquered this day. We climb the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3210m). After the memorable snaps of majestic Himalayas seen from Poon Hill like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar(Annapurna Fang 7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.), we return back to Ghorepani. After breakfast at the guest house, we start our trek to Deurali(2960m) via Banthali finally at Tadapani(2640m). We descend through rhododendron forest, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani. Overnight at the guest house in Tadapani.

Day 7: Trek to Chommorong (2170 M) [5-6hrs]We descend to Kimrong Khola from Tadapani through the dense and dark forest of rhododendron. Crossing Chhomrong(2140m) at Gurjung village where we can have our lunch. Chhomrong village is the place to view Mt Annapurna south and Hiunchuli and the virgin peak Mount Fishtail (Machhapuchhre) along with long terrace village settlement. Chhomrong is the biggest Gurung settlement of this area. Overnight at the guest house in Chomrong.

Day 8: Trek to Dovan (2520 M) [5-6hrs]

The trail after leaving Chommrong descends via a stone stairway crossing the Chhomrong Khola on a suspension bridge then trek up to Sinuwa Danda(2350m). The trail passes through thick and dark silent rhododendron, bamboo and Oak forest up to Khuldighar and walks gently towards Dovan. Overnight at Guesthouse in Dovan. It takes nearly 5 hours to reach Dovan from Chhomrong

Day 9: Trek to Deurali (3200 M) [4-5hrs]

Slowly and gently crossing the bamboo forests with varieties of rhododendron and oak trees, we will reach the most pleasurable way to the Annapurna Base Camp. After this, the trail ascends up to Hinko Cave (3160m.), the huge overhanging rock which provides some protection against rain and avalanches. It takes approximately twenty-five minutes through a normally ascending path to reach Deurali (3230m.).It takes nearly four hours, Overnight at Guesthouse in Deurali.

Day 10: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4120 M) [4hrs]

This exciting day leads you at the heart of your trekking via Machhapuchhare Base Camp, Since it is totally surrounded by mountains. Two hours trek from Machhapuchhare Base Camp takes you to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at an elevation of 4,130m. The remaining you have time to see, explore and relax at the base camp which gives you the heavenly feelings on the earth. Overnight at the Guesthouse in  Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 11: Trek back to Bamboo (2325 M) [5-6hrs]

Wake up at early morning to see the Sunrise with magnificent mountain views shrouding you.    We follow the same trail down today the trail drops by 1,700m to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2,345m where there are a few teahouse/lodges available to stay at. Overnight at a guest house in Bamboo.

Day 12: Trek to Jhinu Hot Spring (1780 M) [5-6hrs]

Your trial goes to the Jhinu Danda (Hot spring), a small top hill around. Your trail leads to the Khuldi Ghar to Sinuwa hill where your continuity treks up to the Chhomrong village and after the meal we descent 2 hrs to the Jhinu for the overnight. There you can enjoy the bath to the hot pool and to visit natural hot spring as well. .Stay overnight at a guest house in Jhinu Danda.

Day 13: Trek to Pothana (1890 M) [5-6hrs]

The first part of the trek is decent and then appears through flat land until you reach Himal Pani. Here you find a beautiful waterfall. Beyond this town, the trail ascends gently crossing numerous streams and terraces. After a short trek, you will be at Landruk, a pretty big village inhabited by the mixed community of Gurung, Magar, and Brahmin as well. Now the trail gently ascends to Tolka and then ascent and level path to Bherikharka. From here, the trail goes steeply up to Deorali with a view of different mountain peaks in panorama. Now the trail gradually descends to Pothana passing through different oak forests. Pothana is a small town resided by Gurung, an ethnic community of Nepal. From here too, you can enjoy the splendid views of various mountain peaks. Stay overnight at the guest house in Pothana.

Day 14: Trek to Dhampus Phedi (1030 M) and Drive to Pokhara (820 M) [2-3hrs]

Trek from Pothana to Dhampus Phedi and it takes approximately three hours and drive from Dhampus Phedi to Pokhara by car. The trail is gently descent up to Dhampus, a village mainly inhabited by Gurung. Now you trek through flat land for some distance and steeply descend to Dhampus Phedi. Now you take a vehicle to drive from Dhampus Phedi to Pokhara.

Day 15: Pokhara City Tour

This is the day to enjoy the beauty of Pokhara. The most beautiful places like Fewa Lake, Devi’s waterfall, International Mountaineering Museum, Tibetan refugee settlement and Gupteshower cave will be visited. You will have a relaxing afternoon. You can also spend some hours boating in Phewa lake.  Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by company vehicle that takes about seven hours. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin, and  Kurintar where Nepal’s first Cable car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. En route, you could enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields, and people being engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to the capital city. In the evening you can take a short walk around Thamel if you need to purchase some souvenirs to take back to your country.  We will provide you a fully sponsored farewell dinner for your great achievement in successfully completing the Trek at a restaurant of your choice or our home. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 17: Transfer to International airport for your final departure

You will be transferred to the international airport for your final departure by. It’s our great pleasure to organize your tour and thanks for joining the team of Himalayan Sewa Expedition and trekking.

The trip includes the following services:

1. Airport pick up and drop off by private vehicle
2. Well experience trekking guide/s
3. Porters/s (a porter carries up to 25 kg luggage for 2 people)
4. Entry permit for Annapurna Conservation Area Project
5. Trekkers information management service(TIMS) card
6. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the trekking
7. Tourist standard hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara with breakfast basis for a single night.
8. Tea house/ guest house basis accommodation during the trek (we recommend the hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara according to your budget.)
9. Sleeping bag, down jacket duffle bags and trekking poles, etc. (as per your need.)
10. All land transportation where applicable
11. Insurance and equipment for our trekking staffs
12. First aid kits
13. One farewell dinner in Kathmandu with a live cultural performance at Authentic Nepal restaurant on the last evening.

The trip doesn’t include the following services:

The following equipment list is suggested an essential for camping or tea house trekking in the Himalayas. Equipment can be bought in Kathmandu or Pokhara as well. Make sure that you at least have the following listed items.
1. One large duffel bag for your personal gears
2. One small padlock for your duffel bag
3. One rucksack or day bag/pack according to the needs of your personal belongings
4. Power bars/ Chocolates/ candies
5. Sunhats, Sunglasses, warm hats, sunscreens, lip care
6. Lightweight gloves/ heavy weight gloves with a waterproof shell outer
7. T-shirts
8. Thermal undergarments- top & bottom [synthetic is the best] 9. Undergarments

11. Warm trousers (loose & comfortable)
12. Down Jackets
13. Jacket (windproof, waterproof with hood), waterproof pants
